On 12/25/2025, Anaheim Police Department officers chased a vehicle suspected in a burglary through Anaheim during early morning hours. The driver continued driving northbound on Interstate 5 before crashing during the active police pursuit. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police stated the crash occurred at the conclusion of the pursuit and all occupants of the vehicle died from injuries sustained in the collision.
