OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 12/26/2025, Lake Worth police officers attempted to stop Jerry Scot Lee near a Walmart at 6360 Lake Worth Boulevard. Police followed Lee during a slow speed vehicle pursuit through the area. Officers stated that Lee fired a weapon during the incident. Police then opened fire and shot Lee. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police closed surrounding roads while they secured the area and conducted the investigation. The Texas Rangers were called in to investigate the police shooting. No additional injuries were reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
