On 12/30/2025, a man was killed following a police chase that ended in an officer involved shooting in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Police said officers attempted to stop a vehicle late Tuesday night, and the driver did not stop. Officers escalated a chase through the county. The pursuit ended when the vehicle stopped and an encounter occurred between the driver and officers. During that encounter, officers opened fire, killing the man at the scene. Authorities have not released the man’s identity. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to conduct an independent investigation into the shooting.
