On 03/13/2021, police responded to reports that a man had fired a shotgun at a woman in the Seminole Circle area of Austin, Arkansas. After the initial report, officers located Dustin Black nearby. Police said officers ordered Black to drop the firearm. During the encounter, officers reported that Black raised the gun in their direction. Officers fired, killing Black at the scene. The shooting was investigated as an officer-involved killing, and no criminal charges were filed against the officers.
