OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 04/01/2021, Lakewood police responded to reports of a disturbance at an apartment complex on West Jewell Avenue. Steven Ross Glass was reported to have damaged a neighbor’s door and then retreated into his apartment. Police established a perimeter as Glass remained barricaded inside. During the standoff, Glass discharged plastic pellets from a replica weapon toward officers. Police opened fire, and Glass was shot and killed inside the apartment.
