OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 12/08/2021, officers responded to a report from a woman who stated a man followed her vehicle through Iowa Falls and struck her car. Officers located Jared Lynn Risius at the intersection of Siloam Avenue and River Street and ordered him out of his vehicle. Officers reported he displayed a shotgun and remained inside the vehicle. Officers opened fire during the confrontation and struck him. He died at the intersection. Authorities initiated investigation of the shooting and reported no charges at the time of public reporting.
