On 03/17/2022, Palmer Police Department officers responded to a disturbance at a residence on 2500 South Woodworth Loop in Palmer. Officers contacted a man inside the residence. According to police, the man was armed during the encounter. Officers opened fire and shot him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Alaska State Troopers responded and assumed responsibility for investigating the shooting.
