On 07/09/2022, Lassen County Sheriff’s Office deputies received information from Ferndale Police Department in Washington about a July 7 homicide and an arrest warrant naming Todd Daniel Andersen, 49, and saying he might be in the Clear Creek area of Lassen County. Deputies located Andersen and attempted to contact him. Authorities reported that Andersen had a gun and shot himself during the law enforcement contact. He was pronounced dead.
