Event : Suicide in holding cell during mental health crisis
OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
A suicidal man locked himself into a room with a propane tank and started releasing propane when he felt threatened by approaching police. He was arrested and put in a holding cell at the police station where he used his clothing to hang himself. It does not appear that he received any mental health care during his crisis.
