On February 17, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Tupelo Police Department officers responded to a domestic violence call near Abby Lane in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Upon arrival, officers encountered a man with a gun. The man retreated into a wooded area. Police deployed the Tupelo Police Department Special Operations Group. Police found the man, who allegedly pointed a gun. Officers opened fire and shot and killed him.
