Courteney and her daughter Amaya Taylor were on an outing and left for home around 3 in the afternoon. Family received a crash alert from her phone. Family members immediately drove to the scene. And on the I-15, they saw a severe crash. Courteney and Amaya were dead at the scene.
A Fish and Wildlife officer had chased another driver and escalated speed on a DUI driver. The officer claims he “called off the chase” when the DUI driver went off the road and onto the highway and crashed into Courteney and Amaya’s car, killing both.
