National City PD said that Cristian Santizo was killed on 05/12/2023 in a solo car crash at the end of a “brief” police chase through National City. They initiated the chase shortly after midnight, when a southbound driver sped past a patrol officer. During the chase, thevehicle veered off the roadway and crashed into a light pole in front of a Mazda dealership. Cristian Santizo, the driver, was ejected from the car and died at the scene.
