Vehicular Deaths
“Pursuits” at such speeds that they are likely to result in the death of someone are hunts for humans. Our police state accepts our deaths and reprimands our language when we notice. My word for it is not incorrect. https://t.co/oYG5jBrOJx

Montclair PD officer Michael Kupchak tried to traffic-stop a vehicle driven by Gregory Dukes as part of an investigation into a previous criminal matter. A second officer named Brandon Taylor soon joined the hunt. Police escalated the chase to 65 mph into the borough of Glen Ridge. Police allegedly “called off the chase” as the hunted driver began losing control of the vehicle and 40 seconds later, the vehicle slammed into a tree, killing both Gregory Dukes and his passenger Cecil Richardson, 47.
A Grand Jury returned a “No Bill” in September 2023, meaning the officers will not be charged.
