The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to Keans Neck Road and Coakley Drive in Dale for a drag racing complaint. Beauford County deputies focused on the vehicle of Herman Elvin Martin Jr. and began chasing him until he crashed into a tree and died.
