Officer Paul Tracey was working at a road construction site when a vehicle made a U-turn on the road, hit a vehicle, kept driving, hit and killed Officer Paul Tracey and a 36-year-old construction worker on the road, then pulled a knife and at knife point stole a police cruiser and drove away in it. He abandoned the cruiser and fled on foot and was arrested. Officer Paul Tracey and the unnamed 36-year-old road worker both died from the impact of the fleeing car.
