On 11/23/2023, Jeremy Cole, a 49-year-old Endicott College police sergeant, was involved in a fatal wrong-way crash while returning home from his shift. A Tesla traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 collided head-on with Cole's Chevrolet Trailblazer. Emergency responders found both drivers trapped in their vehicles. Tragically, Cole died at the scene, while the Tesla's 40-year-old driver sustained serious injuries and was transported via airlift to a nearby hospital.
