At approximately 5:30 a.m. on January 8, 2025, Deputy Sheriff Timothy Corlew of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department was involved in a fatal motorcycle crash while on duty. After clearing a traffic stop on California State Route 91, Deputy Corlew was traveling westbound in the HOV lane east of La Sierra Avenue when his patrol motorcycle collided with a vehicle, resulting in his ejection. Despite prompt medical attention and transport to Riverside Community Hospital, Deputy Corlew died from his injuries.
