Police shot and killed him, explaining “Any object can cause harm depending on how it’s used.” Apparently, an officer was scratched by the stick while accosting the man, leading to unknown “less lethal” approach (taser or beanbags, likely taser), then killing the man.

The object he was holding that allegedly caused officers to fear for their lives and shoot him was a plastic fork.
