Beaumont PD, Beaumont SWAT and the Beaumont Narcotics Unit were sent to a residence in the 700 block of Palm Street with a warrant for Victoria Meza, a 43-year-old resident. SWAT made forcible entrance with ballistic shields and engaged in a shootout with Mesa inside of the residence. Police vehicles outside were hit by bullets. An unknown number of officers opened fire and instantly killed Victoria Meza. One dog was killed and a second dog injured, presumably belonging to Meza.
