Alice PD arrived based upon a call of a shooting and attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description they had. Ivan Hinojosa fled and police escalated a chase, placing spike strips that stopped the vehicle. Hinojosa fled from police on foot. Police allege that he was carrying an unspecified weapon. Police shot and killed him when he allegedly “raised it toward officers.” No video or eyewitness accounts can be found to confirm this police narrative.
