Deputies of the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office as well as the SWAT team arrived at a residence on Clark Avenue to arrest someone for a drug warrant. Police allege that the person “pointed a weapon” at them and they allege that they therefore shot and killed him.
His family alleges that police shot him in his back through the window while he was crawling, killing him, contradicting the police narrative that he had pointed a gun at them. Demarcus Williams had recently moved into the home with his partner and 3 children.
