On 07/14/2025, LAPD Hollenbeck officers and later SWAT surrounded a van in the 1200 block of Spence St. containing Jeremy Anthony Flores, 26. Police opened fire during the standoff. LAPD later confirmed the item in his hands was an airsoft replica. Video released in August shows drone and body-cam footage; LAPD identified the three officers above as the shooters.
