Around 9:30 p.m., a Gallatin County deputy attempted a traffic stop on a motorcycle driven by Justin Lawrence Hunt. Hunt did not stop, and police escalated a pursuit through the area of Ambrose Road. At some point during the chase, the deputy's cruiser collided with Hunt’s motorcycle. Hunt was pronounced dead at the scene. The Kentucky State Police is investigating the incident.
