On 09/16/2025, around 1:00 a.m., Wyoming police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Lemyra Street near Jefferson Avenue. A 31-year-old man, prohibited by a protective order from entering the home, was reportedly armed with a handgun and may have fired shots inside. Two officers opened fire and killed him. The officers have been placed on administrative leave. The Kent County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the investigation.
