OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 10/05/2025, a license plate reader flagged a white Hyundai as stolen and officers blocked the exit of a restaurant parking lot. Fourteen year old driver Mikey Jimenez attempted to leave and police opened fire almost immediately firing 29 rounds into the vehicle. Jimenez died at the scene. His family disputes the police account and states he was trying to surrender. The family is calling for an outside investigation.
