On 10/05/2021, a Toledo Police officer attempted to stop a vehicle being driven by Lee Moore for a traffic violation. The driver fled at high speed, and during the pursuit the vehicle lost control and crashed into a duplex on the 1600 block of Nebraska Avenue. Passenger Kemarr Thomas, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, Lee Moore, suffered serious injuries and was later arrested and sentenced to 28 months in prison for offenses related to the chase and crash.
