On 05/26/2021, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report that a person had been shot on a boat in Holy Cross. Authorities identified Devyn Walker as the person suspected of shooting and killing 71-year-old Alden Gerald Walker Sr. Following the shooting, troopers reported that Walker barricaded himself inside a residence.
