On 12/22/2021, Colorado Springs Police responded to reports that Zillanz Winter Falcon, also known as James Henry Culver, fired a shot into a residence on Palace Drive. Officers located him inside a nearby home while he possessed a firearm and established communication from outside the residence. Police reported he fired toward officers during the standoff. Officers opened fire and struck him. He died inside the residence. Investigators from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office assumed review of the shooting and no criminal charges were announced.
