OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 06/10/2022, Springville Police Department officers responded to 660 South 1750 West after reports of a man threatening family members with a firearm. Officers located Jonathan Hambleton, 45, inside the residence. Police stated Hambleton refused commands to drop the weapon and retreated further into the home. Officers secured the perimeter and requested additional resources. During the standoff, a gunshot was heard from inside. Officers later entered and found Hambleton dead from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound. The Utah County Major Crimes Task Force and Utah County Attorney’s Office reviewed the incident.
