On 10/30/2023, a SWAT response was initiated after authorities connected a male subject to a prior drive by shooting incident and located him at a residence on Weeks Road in Cleburne. Officers surrounded the home and attempted to make contact while containing the situation. During the standoff, a single gunshot was heard from inside the residence. Tactical teams later entered the home and found the man deceased from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound. The death occurred while police were attempting to apprehend him at his residence following the earlier investigation.
