Pierce County deputies chased a vehicle and shot and killed the man near the South Hill Mall. Police only said that he had a warrant for a violent felony. It is not known whether he presented an acute danger to anyone which is one of the prerequisites for being allowed to chase per latest pursuit laws in Washington State.
