OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Madera County Sheriff’s Office said that on 03/13/2023, deputies followed Wilson through Fresno County into Madera County and a Fresno County helicopter chased him into Madera County on Road 225.
Wilson drove into the Sierra National Forest and fled on foot, abandoning his car on the side of the road. He allegedly ran miles into a “rural backcountry area” on foot with a helicopter following him. The SWAT team was able to hike out to Wilson where they fired at him and he shot back. Wilson was killed by SWAT in the Sierra National Forest.
