On May 10, 2024, at approximately 7:30 a.m., a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department officer was servicing a mobile camera unit near the intersection of Market and 14th Streets in downtown St. Louis. The officer observed an armed man chasing and shooting at another individual. Intervening in the situation, the officer fatally shot the armed man.
