OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Hill County deputies went to the 700 block of Harrell Avenue to serve an arrest warrant on a man. He came to the front door and when he heard he was being placed under arrest, he allegedly pulled a gun. Two of the 3 officers fired shots at him. He retreated into the home and locked himself in. SWAT arrived, set up a perimeter and forcibly entered the residence. They found the man dead behind the door from the shots officers had fired when they first arrived. Police did not publicly identify him nor release information what the warrant was for.
