Rockingham County deputies saw a vehicle with front end damage that was also missing an inspection sticker and they escalated a chase. The driver fled and deputies chased the vehicle into Hampton where the Greenland PD joined the hunt. Police chased the vehicle until it lost control and crashed in the woods near 424 Ocean Road, killing the unnamed driver. This fatal chase was undertaken for only a missing registration sticker and a driver who did not stop for police.
