The police chief, Daniel F. “Wojo” Woloszynowski, was driving west of Route 60, east of Route 199, at about 7:45 p.m. when he struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, Shaine Deeleeoan Henderson, 48, of Williamsburg, was seriously injured and later died at the scene.
