Officers Ben Cooper and Reed responded to a call about a disturbance at the Northpark Crossing shopping center, tried to stop Anthony Felix, 40, who took the gun from one of the officers, also took the patrol car and fled. Police caught up with him, got into a shootout and 2 officers and Anthony Felix were all killed in the shootout.
