OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On May 31, 2025, Baldwin Park police responded to reports of gunfire and a person down at the 4200 block of Filhurst Avenue. When officers arrived, they were fired upon. One male officer was shot and later pronounced dead at the hospital. A second officer was wounded and hospitalized in stable condition. The gunman was also shot by police and survived. A civilian was found dead at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
