On June 22, 2025, an officer with the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash. The officer was riding along Hood Road when he lost control of the bike and struck a tree. The impact split the motorcycle in half. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The department confirmed he was off duty at the time. The crash is under investigation.
