OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 07/01/2025 around 1:30 a.m., Deputy Devin Mason and another deputy entered a home on Old Timers Court to serve a warrant for a wanted person. They were ambushed inside the house. Deputy Mason was shot and killed. The second deputy was injured and hospitalized in stable condition. The shooter was also killed by police. The incident is under investigation by South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
