On 08/27/2025, 30-year-old Aaron Tindall, a detention officer with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Gold Hill Road near S.C. Highway 160 in Fort Mill. His vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a westbound Honda Odyssey. Tindall was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was transported to a hospital.
