OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 11/07/2025, Deputy Devin Jaramillo of the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office responded to a traffic crash in the Kendall District. During the response he was “brutally attacked” and shot. He was transported to a hospital and died from his injuries. The shooter was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and a second person is being questioned in connection with the incident.
