OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 11/07/2025, 55-year-old Abdalla Hadian, a civilian Imam employed by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the administration building at Marcy Correctional Facility in Oneida County. Staff members attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators reported that no foul play is suspected and that a note was recovered for translation. The department’s Critical Incident Stress Management team was deployed to support employees following the event.
