On 11/12/2025 Corporal Blake Reynolds stopped on Interstate 69 to protect a stranded motorist when a second semi truck lost control and struck him, the disabled truck, and his patrol vehicle. Reynolds suffered fatal injuries and was transported to a hospital where he died. He had served four years with the Delaware County Sheriffs Office and previously served with the Army National Guard.
