OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 01/21/2026, Timothy Jordan, a deputy with the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, was killed while on duty when his patrol vehicle was struck by a train on Louisiana Highway 3 near Kingston Road in Bossier City. Louisiana State Police reported that Jordan was conducting stationary traffic enforcement at the time of the collision. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
