OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 06/02/2025, an Upper Providence Township Police Department officer took his own life in the parking lot of the township campus, according to a department statement. The police station was closed the next day to allow officers time to mourn and mutual aid patrols covered township patrol duties. Christian Flynn, 29, a full-time officer with the department, died by a self-inflicted gunshot wound while on duty.
