On 11/14/2025, Police Officer Marc Tyler Brock of the Vivian Police Department was shot and killed while serving a search warrant in Vivian, Louisiana. Officers were executing the warrant related to a cyberstalking case at a residence on North Pine Street when gunfire was directed at them through a closed door. Brock and other officers were present; Brock was struck by gunfire as they approached. He was transported to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
