OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 10/15/2025, Detective Christopher Dale Mock of the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office died from a sudden medical emergency that began while he was on duty. On 10/03/2025, he responded to multiple serious calls, including a homicide investigation and a report involving a possible suicide. Shortly after responding to those incidents, Mock experienced a sudden medical emergency and was hospitalized. He remained under medical care until his death on 10/15/2025, which was determined to be the result of that medical emergency following his on-duty response.
