On 09/17/2025, Detective Isaiah D. Emenheiser of the Northern York County Regional Police Department was killed in the line of duty in North Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania. Emenheiser and fellow detectives were serving an arrest warrant when they entered a residence on Haar Road. An individual inside the home opened fire with an AR-15-style rifle, striking Emenheiser and two colleagues. Detective Mark Baker and Detective Sgt. Cody Becker were also killed. Two other law enforcement officers were wounded before the shooter was shot and killed by responding officers. The detectives had been responding to a domestic incident and stalking investigation at the address when the ambush occurred.
