OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 02/24/2026, during the continued manhunt for the driver who shot Deputy Ramirez, law enforcement located the individual in a wooded area near Reeds Spring. Gunfire was exchanged. A second Christian County deputy was shot during the confrontation and later died from his injuries. This was the end result of a marijuana raid.
